Alper Akarsu received his B.S. degree from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2009 and his M.Sc. degree from University of Southampton, UK, in 2013. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Ankara, Turkey all in electrical and electronics engineering. He is a senior systems engineer with the Command, Control and Defense Technologies Division of HAVELSAN Inc., Ankara, Turkey. Alper’s research interests include drone-based communications, nature-inspired computation, command and control in urban terrain, system of systems engineering and organizational design.
