Karl has worked extensively in Africa and the Middle East, including managing projects and companies in South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya. He has extensive satellite communications experience and has worked for Hughes, O3b Networks and SEACOM. Karl has a Master Degree in Engineering from the University of Stellenbosch.
At Global Eagle he has responsible for the sales effort of the Aviation Connectivity for the Middle East & Africa market. Karl is married and has a young son and resides in Cape Town, South Africa.
